Brittany's Philosphy

Solid Foundations

Brittany takes her time with training, making sure that both horse and rider have a solid foundation, and there is no unnecessary tension. The dressage training process is lengthy for both horse and rider, but Brittany provides supportive encouragement and guidance to create winning confidence. She has coached many of her students to USDF medal honors.

With Brittany’s guidance and support I was able to bring my OTTB along to 3rd level and earn my Silver and Bronze medals. Brittany is absolutely amazing! She has also helped me with my young mare, Derecho. We are showing successfully at 3rd level, and qualified for regionals several years in a row. We have a bright future because of Brittany. Without her patience, support, and love for the sport, I would not be where I am today. I cannot say enough for what she does for her students and their horses!

Classical Principles

Brittany relies on classical dressage principles for both training and instruction. While competition is an important part of her program, she also works to ensure that both horse and rider are set up for lifetime of success. She has trained multiple horses for some of her clients, from basic schooling to Grand Prix. She is a regular competitor on her own horses, and the horses she is training.

As a professional ballet dancer turned equestrian, I could not have found a more perfect dressage trainer! Brittany is such an inspiration to watch when riding and makes everything look easy. I look forward to every lesson with her. She challenges me to be the best rider I can be… her encouragement and support have instilled in me a greater confidence as a rider.

Continuous Improvement

Brittany strives to elevate her skills as a trainer and instructor through continuing education. She is proud to consider Olympic medal winning trainer, Michael Poulin, a mentor. Michael is a national and international championship rider and trainer. He has coached some of the sport's biggest names, including other Olympians, and travels the world as a renowned clinician. Learn more about Michael Poulin here. Brittany has also worked closely with piaffe/passage master Claudio Olivera, and many other notable clinicians and high-level trainers.

Brittany’s Horses

Gabelle

(1998-2022)

"Gabelle" (Guarantor/Wendelin) was bred, raised, and trained to Grand Prix level by Brittany. She successfully competed in Regional Championships, International CDI competition, and NAJYRC. Brittany and Gabelle “grew up” together - learning from each other, and sharing a special bond that went beyond riding. Gabelle, also known as “The Queen”, was laid to rest in November of 2022. Her impact on Brittany’s development - and place in Brittany’s heart - will always remain.

Wow Fraulein

"Wow" is an Oldenburg mare (Foundation/Widmark) that Brittany purchased at the age of 8 months old in Canada. Wow began competing in 2018 and has already demonstrated impressive ability with winning results. Brittany’s goal for Wow is to ride another self-trained horse down Grand Prix centerline.
